Street Manager EPG Publishes New Guidance Modules for Statutory Undertakers
The Street Works UK Street Manager Expert Practitioner Group (EPG) is developing a comprehensive How‑To Guide to support statutory undertakers in using Street Manager effectively and consistently.
Street Manager is the digital service used across England to plan, coordinate and monitor road and street works. Local highway authorities, utility companies and their contractors rely on the platform to raise and approve permits, record works progress, register reinstatements and inspections, and manage any associated fines.
To provide clearer support for users, the Street Manager EPG has released a series of structured guidance modules. These documents connect the Street Manager user interface with the relevant legislation, operational processes and business rules. Together, they offer statutory undertakers a clear explanation of:
- What activities must be completed within Street Manager
- How these activities should be carried out
- How the system aligns with legal and regulatory requirements
By combining system processes, statutory obligations and business rules into one cohesive set of resources, the EPG aims to create consistency and improve understanding across the sector.
Newly Published Modules
The following modules are now available:
- Ancillary Information on Permits
- Works Extension Requests & Duration Challenges (Non‑Acceptance)
- Registration of Reinstatements in Street Manager
- Changes to Current Traffic Management
Additional modules will be released over the coming months as the EPG continues to develop the full How‑To Guide.
